Artist Statement
The Box Man by Japanese writer Kobo Abe is a philosophical and introspective story of a man who lives inside a box and alienates himself from the rest of the world.
Short Bio
Nelle Martin is a master printer and production designer at Brighton Press, where she began as an apprentice in 1987. She currently teaches printmaking, book arts, and architectural hand drafting at San Diego State University. She is currently trying to generate a fulcrum of artworks from one painting of a rock.
